Northern Safety, a leading distributor of safety and industrial supplies needed to overhaul its e-commerce channel to lower costs and increase revenues. We started with quick wins, and then tackled the hard stuff. HYDRANT worked with Northern Safety over two years to understand their business, from customer service calls to warehouse floor packing, and craft a strategic roadmap to extend and enhance their existing online e-commerce platform. The first step was a rapid refresh of the web site that improved usability, increased conversion, and refreshed their brand image. Then, using a workshop-based model we developed a detailed set of requirements to overhaul the entire back-end e-commerce platform to modernize both the technology infrastructure as well as the business processes surrounding it.
