When Gymboree made the decision in late 2006 that they wanted to develop an entirely new retail concept alongside their existing children's clothing brand, they turned to HYDRANT as a partner to collaborate on the development of an interactive channel that would tightly integrate e-commerce with the new store experience. HYDRANT worked with Gymboree to develop a design for an e-commerce site that harmonized with the emerging logo, packaging, signage, and physical retail environment for the new stores. We took advantage of some of the newest Web 2.0 technologies to solve some of the trickier customer experience issues that customers face with Gymboree's current sites. The new site supports flexible shopping and checkout processes, as well as functionality to handle complex multiple-address, multi-recipient, multiple-gift wrapping and shipping options.
